Architecture and Urban Texture

The most striking aspect of Old Datça is the stone houses and narrow streets that are unique to the region. In these stone houses, which consist of detached structures with gardens, a harmony with the environment has been achieved by using natural stones such as local marble and limestone. The narrow streets have courtyards colored with bougainvilleas and cobblestone paths that open up to each other. This unique

The Datça Peninsula, at the meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean, offers unique natural landscapes adorned with pine forests, olive groves, deep blue bays and rocky cliffs. In these lands where the Mediterranean climate prevails, the valleys are fertile with tangerines, almonds and olives, while the steep slopes come to life with the aroma of thyme and carob. Datça, which can be easily reached by road from Bodrum and Marmaris, turns sea travel into pleasure with the ferry services between Bodrum and Datça, and provides the opportunity to quickly pass to Symi by boat from Datça Port. The peninsula, which is approximately two hours away from Dalaman Airport, is also open to visitors with regular bus and minibus services.

Datça, whose history dates back to before Christ, is home to many archaeological remains, especially the ancient city of Knidos. The stone houses, narrow streets and bougainvillea-adorned courtyards of the old Datça village, combined with nature walks, water sports, cultural tours and art events, promise unforgettable experiences to both local and foreign travelers.
