“Estetik & İçgüdü”

Sema Boyancı, in this exhibition, draws attention to the idea that the perception of aesthetics is inherent in human nature and shaped by environmental conditions, accumulated experiences, and personal encounters. She emphasizes that the effort to create beauty—even in the most modest living spaces, from rural areas to urban outskirts—stems from an instinctive sense of aesthetics. While constructing narratives with authentic objects and everyday imagery, the artist follows a path aligned with the transformative spirit of Fluxus; however, her primary concern is not aesthetics itself, but rather making cultural authenticity and reality visible.
